    How to Create a CSR Request
    PROPER CSR FORMAT:

    The next step in the process is to generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) and upload it by signing into your comodo.com account.

    When generating your CSR please also be sure to enter your details as follows:

    • Country Name: US
    • State or Province Name: NJ
    • Locality Name: Jersey City
    • Organization Name: Comodo
    • Common Name: www.domain.com

    HOW TO GENERATE A CSR:

    For instructions on how to generate a CSR for your server, please check our knowledgebase for detailed instructions.

    If you are using a webhost, contact your provider and request a CSR.

    Please supply any ONE of the following documentation via fax, post or email to docs@comodo.com, quoting your Order Number:


    If the order has been applied for in your company's name:

    • Articles of Incorporation
    • Business License
    • DUNS details

    (e.g. your Dun & Bradstreet company number)

    If the order has been applied for in your trading name (and you do not have access to the above documents):

    • Trading License
    • Copy of utilities bill / bank statement


    If the order has been applied for in your own personal name or the order is not for use by a commercial entity:

    Copy of your drivers license or passport

    EV SSL customers:
    Please fill out the EV Certificate Request document found here and send to evdocs@comodo.com or fax to 1.866.831.5837 referencing your order number.

    How to Install Your SSL Certificate

    Once you have uploaded your CSR and have passed validation you will receive an email from Comodo with the certificate attached to the email. The certificate will be called 'yourDOMAINNAME.crt' and will be in a .zip file.
