As part of Comodo Security Solution's pledge to our customers, we recognize and respect your right to privacy. This privacy policy statement informs our customers of the privacy practices employed in the provision of Comodo Security Solution's products, services, and website.

Information Collection and Use

As part of the service offerings, you may be prompted to enter information when downloading a product or requesting further information. No information is collected about a customer if they are just browsing the website. In fact, Comodo Security Solutions does not collect any personal information on customers without consent. Any personal information collected with a customer's consent will be treated with the appropriate standards of security and confidentiality in accordance with the Data Protection Acts of 1988 and 2003. Any information gathered will only be used for the purpose for which it is provided and will not be made available or disclosed to third parties without your express consent unless legally obligated to do so. Comodo Security Solutions does gather and statistically analyze web traffic information using cookies as explained below.

Product Download

When downloading a Comodo Security Solution's product (such as our Firewall) or using our online services (such as our Refer a Friend program), you will be required to submit personal information as specified on the download page. This information may be used by Comodo Security Solutions to contact the customer or user about the services on our site for which they have expressed interest, including product updates and associated promotional material. The information may also be used to aid Comodo Security Solutions in providing improved global services by collating general demographic information. Please refer to the opt-out policy described later in this policy statement.

Information Request

Comodo Security Solutions provides the ability to request further information or ask questions to the support team by displaying email links throughout the website. If a customer elects to use such links they may be requested to provide additional information depending on the nature of the contact. Besides as required to use Google Analytics (as explained below), Comodo Security Solutions does not disclose any cookie information with respect to individual website visitors to any third party, unless obliged to disclose this information by rule of law.

Comodo Security Solution's websites uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"), to evaluate the use of the Comodo Security Solutions site. Google analytics places a third party cookie on your computer that is then used to compile reports of visitor traffic and internet usage. Google analytics does not have a database of individual profiles for each visitor and only collects aggregate data. Comodo Security Solutions does not track or collect any personally identifiable information with these cookies and does not gather any personally identifying information form using Google Analytics.

Log Files

Comodo Security Solutions uses log files comprising of IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track movements throughout the site, calculate the number of document and file downloads, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Sharing

Comodo Security Solutions will share aggregated demographic information with our partners. This information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.

This website takes every precaution to protect our customer's information. When customers submit sensitive information via the website, such information is protected both online and off-line.

Refer a Friend Program

Comodo Security Solutions provides the ability to send emails to your email contacts. You can use the Refer a Friend page to log into your mail account and send a message to your friends. This message may be customized by you. Comodo does not store any of the information entered by you as part of the email process.

Service Updates

Established customers will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our customers, we present the option not to receive these types of communications. We may send the user service announcement updates. Customers are not able to unsubscribe from service announcements, which may contain important security information about Comodo Security Solution's products. We do not control the messages sent through the Refer a Friend program. All such messages are customized and sent by the original sender and not by Comodo.

Choice / Opt out

Customers are given the opportunity to 'opt-out' of having information used for purposes not directly related to the Comodo Security Solution's service offering at the point where the information is requested.

If customers no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials from our partners, they may opt-out of receiving these communications by emailing Comodo at info@comodogroup.com.

Customers of our site are always notified when their information is being collected by any outside parties. We try to make sure our customers can make an informed choice as to whether or not they should proceed with services that require an outside party.
