Infopromedia Inc. has been providing specialist managed IT services throughout the Sherbrooke region of Québec, Canada since 1992.

On request from a number of their managed clients Infopromedia recently decided to expand their current service offerings into the arena of managed email and, by extension, managed anti-spam.

Infopromedia's requirements were demanding due to their already established reputation as a provider of reliable, high quality IT services. Infopromedia therefore demanded that their solution be of equal quality and reliability yet also be sufficiently cost-effective so as to pass on the benefits of managed email to their customers. The cost-effectiveness of the solution also had to conform to the total cost of ownership by minimizing ongoing administration or management.

Infopromedia needed a product, preferably hosted, that could filter email for spam, phishing links and malware-infected attachments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year with a very high success rate and very low false-positive rate, without introducing excessive latency in mail delivery.

The product further needed to offer the standard facilities of whitelisting and blacklisting and optionally a mail queuing or spooling ability, preferably with email retention/backup.

Investigating and analyzing a multitude of on-premises and hosted anti-spam solutions, Infopromedia found that Comodo's SaaS Antispam Gateway ticked all the checkboxes and put Antispam Gateway into proof-of-concept trial.

Overwhelmingly pleased by the results they observed on their own trial domain, Infopromedia recommended Comodo's hosted Antispam Gateway to a trial group of their clientele.

With success in decreasing unsolicited and potentially hazardous email immediately apparent to their employees and management, Infopromedia's clients requested the soonest possible full deployment across production domains.

With the incorporation of Comodo Antispam Gateway, Infopromedia's clients have benefited from an increase in their employee's productivity by not having to sift through received email attempting to identify legitimate email. They have further had their concerns over delayed or missing email relieved and have also reduced the risk of virus infections through the Antispam Gateway's capability to remove infected attachments and phishing emails from the mail stream.

Infopromedia's choice of product has upheld their hard-earned reputation and expanded their service offering into the managed email arena, allowing them to complement their hosted telecommunications and VOIP services.
