Comodo Launches New Breach Prevention and Compliance Solution

Clifton, NJ, February 28, 2016 — The Comodo organization, a global innovator and developer of cybersecurity solutions, today launched a new breach prevention and compliance solution – Comodo cWatch. cWatch is designed to give enterprises of all sizes their own managed Security as a Service (SaaS) solution, enabling global visibility of emerging threats and fully integrating Comodo’s expert human analytics , innovative security technology and real-time communication to deliver the highest quality threat and compliance monitoring for companies.

Leveraging a SaaS platform, cWatch monitors activity throughout a company’s private and public cloud, internal networks and hybrid environments by strategically placing sensors across critical systems and networks to protect against zero-day threats and targeted attacks.

cWatch eliminates the growing challenge for IT departments to sift through massive log and event databases full of every day noise and false positives, searching for anomalies and outliers that should be taken extremely seriously and need to be investigated with very specialized knowledge of the current malware and emerging threat landscape. Instead, cWatch analysts take the information and constantly correlate and investigate even seemingly insignificant security events to ensure even the most evasive attack methods are detected and prevented.

cWatch is built on a multi-layer security platform that includes Comodo’s local and cloud-based Specialized Threat Analysis and Protection (STAP) engine Valkyrie, in conjunction with monitoring and response from Comodo’s Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Comodo Threat Research Labs (CTRL).

Combined, these offerings from Comodo allow customers 24/7 expert human analysis, scheduled reporting and real-time alerts against both common and zero-day threats with actionable information, giving customers of all sizes the intelligence response opportunities they need to keep their networks secure.

“Think of cWatch like a home security system. You have sensors at different access points, alarms and overall monitoring taking place – to both prevent a break in as well as to notify you if a break in occurs,” said John Peterson, vice president of Enterprise Products at Comodo. “cWatch takes that idea of home security to the computer infrastructure with one of the most advanced technology offerings today, backed by the technology innovation, history and cybersecurity leadership of Comodo.”

At RSA 2016, Comodo will be showcasing cWatch in the South Hall, Booth 1127.

Features and Benefits of cWatch

World Class Intelligence – cWatch leverages Comodo’s position as the largest certificate authority brand in the world to uniquely identify known good software publishers and applications, while Comodo’s installed base of over 85 million consumer endpoints provides the Comodo Threat Research Labs (CTRL) with one of the largest caches of known bad files.

Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Trend Analysis – cWatch experts provide long-term analysis over large data sets to quickly find complex security information events that eventually reveal an APT, a sophisticated technique in the cybercriminal’s arsenal.

Vulnerability Assessment – conducted by top level experts of Comodo SOC, a comprehensive vulnerability assessment report is generated based upon periodic assessment or on-demand, providing a detailed view of vulnerabilities in a customer’s network, websites or applications and systems.

Flexible Deployment Options – cWatch’s modular design allows customers to only deploy the agents a customer needs – from dedicated Web servers, databases, network sensors and right down to the endpoint.
