New York – June 3, 2004 – Starting today, professionals may differentiate themselves on the Internet by using a .Pro domain name extension, validating their identity as doctors, lawyers or CPAs and protecting the confidentiality of online communications through the use of digital certificates issued with each new .Pro domain name.
Internet users will now be able to identify legal, medical and accounting web sites, simply by checking for a .Pro extension. .Pro is a new web address extension (like .com, .net, .org) intended to be exclusively used by the professional community. It enables professionals, corporations or organizations providing professional services, to reserve and purchase their own .Pro web address.
