I have been using Comodo Free Internet Security for well over 9 years now, if I am not mistaken in my calculations. I do not remember a single major infection since switching to Comodo from Avast, to which I switched to from AVG (which now turns out was a horrible mistake on my part way back when, haha). Favorite UI version of the Free Internet Security was back in 2011 though, when I wrote a Finish user manual for that version as my final work for my school back then. So yes, I warmly recommend the Free Internet Security. And if you have the money to do so, please do consider upgrading to the full version. Comodo and their team truly deserve it.
Up to now, I have tried and analyzed various anti-virüs programs including Avira, Kaspersky, Bitdefender and Avast. However, one of the softwares I am satisfied with is Comodo. I have been using Comodo Internet Security both on my laptop and on my desktop computer. I like all the services that Comodo provides. It is unbelievably fast and uses so little source on computer.(less than 20 MB) On the other hand, its protection is 5-stars. It is able to detect the viruses which others couldn't. No need to say about the firewall. Highly recommended ! You won't regret trying it.
I believe that comodo is one of the best internet securities in the word.
I have been using Comodo Free Internet Security for a couple of months now. It is able to track malware and has warned many times. It has not affected system performance and I am very happy with it. I recommend that you guys try it out.
Comodo internet security is my only love. i hate when i see in the top 10 bitdefender and other products and my Comodo isn't. i use cis since 2010 and i am very proud to this product. it is very light and he protects me very well. BITDEFENDER IS A BULLSHIT is not light and no configurable. i love you Comodo!

Yes. Applications in the sandbox are run under a carefully selected set of privileges and will write to a virtual file system and registry instead of the real system. This means untrusted (but harmless) applications have the freedom to operate as usual while malicious programs are prevented from accessing or infecting your computer. This provides smoothest and most secure user experience possible....read more

It's simple: prevention-based, Default Deny Protection. It works by only allowing trusted files to run on your system. Files that are not trusted are run inside the new sandbox
No – the sandbox is the first part of a trust decision engine. After an unknown application has been placed in the sandbox, Internet Security will also automatically queue it for submission to Comodo labs where it will be analyzed by our technicians. If it is found to be harmless then it will be added to the global safe list that will be downloaded by all Internet Security users in the next round of updates. Once it is added to the safe list, the application will no longer be run in the sandbox by Internet Security. If it is found to be malicious then it will be added to Comodo's list of malware signatures and will be deleted after the next round of updates....read more
The sandbox is a virtual operating environment created within your computer for unknown and untrusted programs. Internet Security automatically runs untrusted programs in the sandbox where they cannot make changes to processes, programs or data on your 'real' system. This protection goes well beyond traditional Antivirus software by ensuring any brand new viruses are completely isolated and cannot cause damage....read more

Viruscope monitors the activities of processes running on your computer and alerts you if they attempt to take suspicious actions. Apart from forming yet another layer of malware detection and prevention, the sub-system represents a valuable addition to the core process-monitoring functionality of the Behavior Blocker by introducing the ability to reverse potentially undesirable actions of software without necessarily blocking the software entirely. This provides more granular control over otherwise legitimate software which requires certain actions to be taken in order to run correctly. Viruscope works using a constantly expanded list of activity 'recognizers', which allow the software to detect, block and undo many potentially unwanted actions.
The new website filtering section gives Comodo Internet Security (CIS Version 8) users a powerful and easy way to allow or block access to specific websites. Website access rules can be created for particular users of your computer, which makes this feature very useful for both home and work environments. For example, parents can block juvenile users from visiting inappropriate websites while companies can prevent employees from visiting leisure sites during working hours. You also have the option to create a log event whenever a user tries to visit a website which is in conflict with a rule. Comodo Internet Security (CIS Version 8) ships with several preset lists (or 'categories') of URLs which can be added to rules that you create - including the 'Malicious sites category', the 'Comodo Safe category', the 'Comodo Phishing category' and the 'Comodo Malware category'.
The Comodo Internet Security (CIS Version 8) user interface features several design and UX enhancements which allow you to accomplish tasks faster while keeping you better informed than ever before. New themes include the bold new 'Metro' theme.
Process Activity Dialog is added.
Added 'Please call a live expert' balloon message in main GUI when running into 'At Risk' status.
