Our Company Inbox Is No Longer Flooded With Spam Mails

Keeping it simple, how does it work?

Comodo Anti-Spam Gateway uses the MX records in your domain DNS to direct mail traffic through our anti-spam servers first. This ensures that spam and virus-laden emails are intercepted and filtered out before they reach your corporate mail server. Messages that are clean or whitelisted are passed to your mail server from where they are sent to your users as usual. Messages flagged as spam are quarantined on our servers for users to review and release as required. more
Can I control which emails are released from quarantine or are whitelisted /blacklisted?

Yes. Comodo Anti-Spam Gateway allows both administrators and end-users to release mail from quarantine and to specify whitelisted/blacklisted domains. The ‘Groups and Permissions’ feature allows administrators to specify whether end-users have the right to release mail or specify whitelists/blacklists. Users that do not have these permissions need to make requests to mail administrators to perform these actions. more

How much of a "black box" is the CASG service?

Much of the operation of Comodo Anti-Spam Gateway is hands-off on a day-to-day basis. However, when occasions arise that need you to deep dive into an issue, our console lets you fully analyze the mail delivery queue and message transfer logs to track down how a message was processed. You can also manage the incoming callout cache, which prevents messages to non-existent users from being forwarded to your mail server. more
Does CASG support Active Directory or LDAP servers?

Yes. User email accounts can be imported directly into Comodo Anti-Spam Gateway as a one-time operation or imported periodically according to a schedule.

Does email stay private?

Yes. email quarantined on our servers can only be read by the intended recipient.

What kind of redundancy is there in your solution?

If your mail server or its internet connection should go down, our service will cache and retry your messages for as many days as you configured for each domain (default is 4 days).

Can I restrict attachments on incoming messages before they hit my server?

Yes. You can restrict the maximum size of an email and restrict what types of attachments are permitted.

I have multiple email administrators. Can I set up different accounts and permissions?

Yes. You can add new administrators from the management console. You can also set their permission levels and periodically generate new passwords for them.

Can CASG 'discover' email accounts?

Yes. Just enable the relevant option and Comodo Anti-Spam Gateway will populate your email recipients table for you.

Can CASG filter outgoing messages for viruses as well?

Yes. Comodo Antispam Gateway - KoruMail Cloud filters both inbound and outbound email. Optional outbound locking enables organizations to prevent spam from being sent from their mail servers.

Can I just tag spam coming into my users' mailboxes instead of quarantining it?

Yes. You can use the subject notation option to add text to the subject of messages identified as spam. For example, ‘[SPAM] Get discounts on all the latest brands!’. In this case, your users' mail clients should be configured to move those messages to a spam folder. You can also specify notation for messages to be marked as potential spam. more
I have multiple email domains. Can I manage all of them from the same account?

Yes. Depending on your license, Comodo Anti-Spam Gateway allows any number of domains and mailboxes to be managed through a single login.
