Trustix lights the way with LAMP based web hosting package

Web hosts can now consolidate their account management system and server platform in one amazing low cost package.

New York, 31st August 2004, Comodo-Trustix, developers of the world's most secure Linux distribution, announce the release of their consolidated web host package, consisting of a fully supported distribution of Trustix Operating System ES pre-configured with the server management tool, cPanel.

The web hosting platform is moving inexorably towards the open source LAMP (Linux Apache mySQL PHP) standards, with Apache based web servers currently dominating the market by 4:1. The extra security and stability afforded to websites running on LAMP based technology is now being complemented by a new generation of powerful and user friendly control panels. The unification of the control panel and the OS into a single vendor entity means web hosts will enjoy cleaner and, crucially, more effective support. Instead of making several, overlapping 'phone calls to multiple organizations, customers will be able to identify and solve any problems with a single call to Trustix. Trustix was recently described as being 'astonishing fast' at developing and disseminating patches for its operating system.
